VersiFlex Light Media: What It Is and How to Use It

VersiFlex Light Media is the secret behind VersiFlex prints on cotton, wood, and other natural materials. It is a patented transfer media made only for Sawgrass printers running VersiFlex ink.  What makes it different

  • Self-weeding. Only your design transfers. No cutting, no film edges, no background.
  • No pre-treatment. Skip sprays and extra prep steps.
  • Soft finish. Prints feel light and natural on fabric.

What it works on

White and light-colored natural and uncoated items, like cotton, cotton blends, canvas, leather, and wood. For poly-coated blanks like mugs and tumblers, use TruePix sublimation paper instead.

Sizes

VersiFlex Light comes in 8.5 x 11 inch sheets for the SG500 and SG1000, and 11 x 17 inch sheets for the SG1000.

How to use it

  1. Print your design in Sawgrass Print Utility on VersiFlex Light paper.
  2. Place it on your item right away, while the ink is still wet.
  3. Press at the right setting for your material (cotton: 375°F, 30 seconds, medium pressure).
  4. Peel it off right away with a low, hot peel.

Tips for best results

  • Use VersiFlex ink only. Other inks will not work with this paper.
  • Store paper flat in a cool, dry place.
  • Use a manual heat press with even, medium pressure.
