Power Off: Ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged.

Open Ink Cover: Lift the ink cover to access the cartridge slots.

In the VersiFlex ink system, you only use Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow inks—no Black. That’s because these three primary colors can be mixed in just the right ratios to create a rich, deep black, along with a full spectrum of other colors. It’s a technique known as composite black or process black.
