Preheat your flat press to 385°F

Print and trim your sublimation design

Place the design face-down on the glossy white surface

Use heat tape to secure the transfer

Cover with butcher paper and press with medium pressure for 60 seconds

Remove immediately and allow to cool before handling

Pro Tip: Use a pressing pillow or silicone mat underneath to ensure even pressure across the wood surface.

Can I use a regular heat press for these?
Yes! A flat heat press works great. Just use medium pressure and protect with parchment or a pressing pillow if needed.

Are they food safe?
They’re decorative and meant to be used under plates or tableware. Do not place food directly on the surface.

Can I use inkjet or vinyl instead of sublimation?
For best results, these are designed specifically for sublimation printing. Vinyl may not adhere well to the coated surface.

Do the placemats have a protective back?
They have a natural MDF wood back. Add felt pads or cork if desired for additional table protection.
